AirTag tracking your child: smart or too far?

Keeping track of our loved ones has become so imbedded in society that even footwear brands are now making a special space in shoe soles for AirTags.
The so-called “Find My Skechers” – launched in the United States – are designed to give parents peace of mind.
The technology is hoped to be a quick solution in a worst-case scenario, particularly benefiting families with children who are young, have a neurodivergence or disability.
But psychologists and security experts are warning that electronic monitoring can also indicate trust issues and pose serious privacy risks.
