Shia LaBeouf has been making headlines for some pretty bizarre behaviour as of late but he’s one-upped himself by live streaming his heartbeat to anyone who wants to hear it.

Yep, that’s correct, you can listen to a six day live stream of the eccentric actor’s heartbeat thanks to a collaboration with his artist friends Luke Turner and Nastja Rönkkö, the same guys behind his seminal I am sorry campaign.

“Like cats have whiskers, we too are born with a guidance system: our heart. It is our inner GPS, our map, and our guide. It promises to lead us down the path of maximum fulfilment,” LaBeouf said in a statement.

The stream is happening while LaBeouf is at music festival SXSW in the university party town of Austin, Texas – so you’ll know the reason for any sudden acceleration in tempo.

The project is the latest in a long line of eyebrow-raising appearances from the actor including a controversial music video with SIA, an arrest for being a public nuisance at a Broadway cabaret bar and commissioning a skywriting aeroplane to apologise to graphic novelist Daniel Clowes.

LaBeouf has been ‘pumping’ out promotion for the heartbeat project on his Twitter with some very creative punctuation art.
