David and Candice Warner reveal baby news
Things are looking up for cricketer David Warner with the end of his ban from playing for Australia in sight and his wife Candice expecting a third child.
Candice Warner revealed the news on Instagram.
Mrs Warner suffered a miscarriage in May, a week after her husbandâs press conference following the ball-tampering fiasco in South Africa.
In an interview with the Nine Networkâs Sports Sunday, Mrs Warner says her husband still has âbad daysâ as his 12-month suspension for his part in the ball-tampering scandal nears its end.
âWhen David has his bad days, they are really bad,â she said, describing them as a mix of anger, regret and depression.
âBut they are few and far between now.â
âHeâs back playing cricket. Heâs playing for (Randwick) and heâs loving that. Thatâs helping with the whole process and just getting back out there.â
She added: âItâs a mix of I want to be playing for my country, Iâve got no income coming in, Iâve got mortgages, Iâve got two kids, everything.â
In recent interviews about the ball-tampering scandal, which saw batsman Cameron Bancroft use sandpaper to alter the condition of the ball during a Test in South Africa, both Bancroft and then-captain Steve Smith claimed David Warner issued the instruction to cheat.
Warner has not yet responded to their comments.
