US President Donald Trump is threatening to sue comedian Trevor Noah over a joke he made while hosting the 2026 Grammys.
Noah poked fun at Trumpâs relationship with the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and his desire to take over Greenland.
âSong of the year â that is a Grammy that every artist wants almost as much as Trump wants Greenland, which makes sense because Epsteinâs island is gone, he needs a new one to hang out with Bill Clinton,â Noah said at Sundayâs ceremony.
Trump posted a furious rant on his social media platform Truth Social, attacking Noah as a âloserâ and âtalentlessâ and foreshadowed that he would speak to his lawyers.
âThe Grammy Awards are the WORST, virtually unwatchable! CBS is lucky not to have this garbage litter their airwaves any longer,â he wrote late on Monday (AEDT).
âThe host, Trevor Noah, whoever he may be, is almost as bad as Jimmy Kimmel at the Low Ratings Academy Awards.
âNoah said, INCORRECTLY about me, that Donald Trump and Bill Clinton spent time on Epstein Island. WRONG!!!
âI canât speak for Bill, but I have never been to Epstein Island, nor anywhere close, and until tonightâs false and defamatory statement, have never been accused of being there, not even by the Fake News Media.
âNoah, a total loser, better get his facts straight, and get them straight fast.
âIt looks like Iâll be sending my lawyers to sue this poor, pathetic, talentless, dope of an M.C., and suing him for plenty$.â
Hours later, Trump posted another rant denying he had every visited Epsteinâs âinfestedâ island.
âNot only wasnât I friendly with Jeffrey Epstein but, based upon information that has just been released by the Department of Justice, Epstein and a SLEAZEBAG lying âauthorâ named Michael Wolff, conspired in order to damage me and/or my Presidency,â he wrote on Truth Social.
