Two men are in a serious condition in hospital after a double shooting in Melbourne’s inner north last night.

Police said two men were sitting in a car near the corner of Macarthur Road and Royal Parade in Parkville when they were shot at at about 11:30pm.

Blood could be seen on the outside the car.

Ambulance Victoria said one man was in a critical condition, while the other victim’s injuries were serious.

The circumstances surrounding the incident are being investigated.
