A mobile phone app which promoted the brutal killings of Aboriginal people has been slammed by a Queensland senator as racist and offensive.

In the “Survivor Island 3 – Australia Story 3D” app, set in a cliched digital rendition of Australia, players complete a range of tasks to stay alive, including bludgeoning Aboriginal people to collect items.

LNP Queensland Senator Joanna Lindgren has slammed the game as offensive and racist.

“Games that promote the killing of any indigenous peoples are dangerous and incite discriminatory behaviours,” she said on Saturday in a statement.

“These types of games are setting a dangerous precedent and should never be tolerated.”

Before being removed, the game was selling for $4.49 and was rated 12+ by Apple, Fairfax media reports.
