Video has emerged of a fisherman catching an enormous sea creature while floating on a paddleboard.

The epic struggle of man’s fishing line and water’s beast was recorded off the coast of Florida, about 200 km north of the US city of Miami.

Vision shows Ben Chancey struggling to pull the fish, a Goliath grouper, on top of his paddleboard while onlookers shouted “it’s a goliath!”.

The fisherman was thrown from his board as the 180kg fish thrashed about in the water.

Mr Chancey was skilled enough to catch the grouper with his rod and said it was the first time he’d hooked one from a paddleboard.

After a picture was taken, Mr Chancey let the fisherman go. but as you’ll see below, it wasn’t before a tussle.
