The businessman and philanthropist Dick Smith intends to fight red tape and unbridled economic growth with his own federal political party.
Mr Smith recently registered the business name âThe Dick Smith Partyâ with the hope of contesting the next election, which is expected to be held in late 2016.
The businessman previously told The New Daily he did not intend to stand as a candidate.
The political issues of most concern to Mr Smith were âridiculously hugeâ rates of immigration, the âmadnessâ of perpetual economic growth and red tape in the aviation industry.
