A missing bride-to-be has sparked a police helicopter search after disappearing a week before her big day.

Stephanie Scott, 26, was last seen at around 1pm on Sunday in the New South Wales town of Leeton, on the Riverina.

Her car, a red Mazda 3, is also missing, sparking Ms Scott’s sister Kim Scott to call on friends to look for it.

“Get yourselves to Leeton and the surrounding areas and check those roads,” she reportedly wrote on Facebook.

Ms Scott, an English and drama teacher, is to marry Aaron Woolley.

“We’re really worried. [Someone] said they saw her at Woolworths around 1pm on Sunday, but no one has seen or heard anything since,” Mr Woolley said.

“We just want her to be okay,” he said.

Fears that she had vanished due to cold feet were quashed by Ms Scott’s mother Merrilyn.

“There is no way she had cold feet. Something has happened to her.”

Pictures appeared on Facebook last week showing her at her hen’s night. “So excited, not long now,” she commented.
