Melbourne kids cleared of Ebola

Ebola tests on two children at Melbourneās Royal Childrenās Hospital have come back negative for the virus.
The children, under the age of 10,Ā wereĀ admitted into hospital on Thursday morning, and wereĀ tested for a range of infectious diseases, with precautionaryĀ Ebola treatmentĀ measures in place.

Ambulance Victoria state health commander Paul Holman told the Herald SunĀ paramedics were called to Melbourne Airport at 2am on Thursday after the children recorded elevated temperatures.

Earlier, theĀ Royal Childrenās Hospital said no further information about theĀ patients or their condition would be provided, until the test results were known.
āSpecialist medical staff are caring for the patients, using the procedures and equipment in which they have been trained,ā the statement said.
āThe safety of staff and the community is paramount.ā
