The Islamic State group has released a new video which purports to show a young boy executing two men accused of being Russian spies.

According to an ABC report, the video, entitled “Uncovering An Enemy Within” shows the men being interrogated before being shot dead by the boy.

One of the men said he was working for Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB), while the other man said he had worked for the FSB in the past.

Both men said they were in Syria attempting to retrieve information about Islamic State fighters.

The video then cuts to the two hostages being shot by a young child armed with a pistol, under the guidance of an older Islamic State fighter.

The jihadists told the two men they were in the “custody of the lion cubs” of the Islamic State’s caliphate.

The propaganda clip ends with footage of what appears to be the same boy at a training camp, taking apart and reassembling a gun.

The authenticity of the video – which was uploaded to an anonymous Vidme account linked to a Twitter account no longer in use – has not been verified.

The FSB told Russian news agency Ria Novosti that it had “no information at all” in relation to the executions and the Russian government has not confirmed whether the agents were killed.
