Royal hoax DJ Mel Greig bemoans trolling
Radio host Mel Greig has spoken about the death threats she received after 2DayFMâs 2012 prank call to a hospital treating Kate Middleton, saying the âtrolling needs to stopâ.
A British nurse committed suicide after she put through the prank call from Grieg who pretended to be the Queen while Middleton was in hospital with morning sickness.

âThe trolling and the death threats were disgusting,â Greig told BBC television.
âThere were bullets with our name on it sent to police stations.â
The 32-year-old said the worst moment was when her mother was threatened by anonymous trolls.
âWhen you bring my mother into it, and I didnât want to cry, but itâs just ⌠thatâs the difference and thatâs unnecessary.
Greig apologised at an inquest into nurse Jacintha Saldanhaâs death last month and says she will always feel partly responsible.
âMy name was in someoneâs suicide note,â the DJ told Womanâs Day in Australia on Monday.
âNothing will change the fact that Jacintha thought of me before she took her own life and that is something that is really hard to come to terms with.â
