It appears the Rolling Stones have left a cryptic message in a newspaper ad, leading people to believe there is a new album on the way.
Last week an ad for a glass repair company appeared in the London local paper, the Hackney Gazette.
The Hackney Diamonds ad seemed innocent enough and promised a new store opening in September, but the text on the ad is littered with references to The Rolling Stones.
âOur friendly team promises you satisfaction. When you say gimme shelter weâll fix your shattered windows,â the ad says.
The ad also says Hackney Diamonds was established in 1962, the same year The Rolling Stones formed.
By going to the website that is seen on the ad, people are able to register their interest, and people are that by doing so, emails would be âsent by or on behalf of Universal Music Operations Ltdâ.
Universal Music happens to be the Stonesâ record label.

Also, about the âiâ in Diamonds, the bandâs iconic lips logo is seen and the font used for business name is supposedly the same used for their 1978 album Some Girls.
Some people believe the potential upcoming album, which would be the bandâs 31st, will be called Hackney Diamonds.
Editor Simon Murfitt didnât even know about the mysterious ad until people contacted the Hackney Gazette asking for copies as souvenirs.
He told the BBC that often they donât see the ad until it is published and the planner would have simply said the ad was for âUniversal Musicâ.
Given the attention the ad has received, Murfitt is hoping to secure an exclusive interview with The Rolling Stones.
âI think weâre owed it, arenât we? Iâm looking forward to them calling us up,â he told the BBC.
First Rolling Stones album since Charlie Wattâs death
The last album the Stones put out was Blue and Lonesome in 2016, which consisted of covers.
In 2021, The Rolling Stonesâ drummer Charlie Watts died from throat cancer, however, there is a chance the music legend will appear on the upcoming project.
The same year of Wattsâ death, it was revealed by The LA Times that the band was working on a new album, featuring original songs.
Keith Richards said if the pandemic hadnât shut everything down they would have âfinished the damn thingâ. However, Watts did record his parts before his death.
âYou havenât heard the last of Charlie Watts,â Richards said.
