Britney Spears has apparently deleted her Instagram account, less than 24 hours after uploading a scathing post about her family.

On Sunday (US time), Spears told her 42 million followers that she received “no justice” following the shock settlement in the court conservatorship that controlled her life and financial decisions for nearly 14 years.

She alleged she suffered “nerve damage in [her] back” as a result of her poor treatment.

“I have to get acupuncture [sic] every day of my life now!!!,” she captioned a photo of her wearing only a black G-string.

“If people only knew how I’ve had to crawl to my own door one time!!!”

“My family hurt me!!! … There has been no justice and probably never will be!!!”

Spears, 42, claimed a group of people, including her family, ‘‘sat and did absolutely nothing” while she was being mistreated.

However, not long after publishing the post, it was gone – along with Spears’ entire Instagram account.

It is far from the first time she has deleted her social media, only to reactivate it.

But the decision at the weekend came only days after Spears and her father Jamie Spears have settled lingering issues in her court conservatorship.

A hearing on those issues, including a request from Jamie Spears for a broad ruling dismissing them, had been scheduled for Monday.

It was pulled from the court calendar after the settlement was approved by a judge on Friday.

Britney Spears was taken out of the conservatorship in November 2021, after speeches to a judge turned what had been a growing public sentiment against it into a cause best known by the hashtag #FreeBritney.

But several elements had dragged on in court, including final payments to lawyers who helped operate the conservatorship.

Spears’ lawyer Mathew Rosengart had also sought a public reckoning over what he said was financial malfeasance by Jamie Spears and allegations of excessive surveillance of Spears.

All of that will now be dispensed with in the settlement in a series of filings last week. They included one that said Jamie Spears had been “fully and finally discharged as former conservator of the estate”.

“Although the conservatorship was terminated in November, 2021, her wish for freedom is now truly complete,” Rosengart said.

“As she desired, her freedom now includes that she will no longer need to attend or be involved with court or entangled with legal proceedings in this matter. It has been our honour and privilege to represent, protect and defend Britney Spears.”

The trial had been slated to begin next month.

Jamie Spears’ attorney Alex Weingarten said the settlement was confidential at the insistence of the singer’s lawyer.

“Jamie has nothing to hide and would be happy to disclose everything about every aspect of the conservatorship so that the public knows the actual truth,” Weingarten told The Associated Press.

“Jamie loves his daughter very much and has always done everything he can to protect her.”

In her memoir, The Woman in Me, published last year, Spears said she felt that her father had “always been all about the money”.

She married long-time boyfriend Sam Asghari months after the conservatorship ended, but Asghari filed for divorce a year later.

The divorce has yet to be finalised and the two are still legally wed.

And while Spears has dabbled in music including a 2022 collaboration with Elton John, in January she shot down rumours of a new album and vowed to “never return to the music industry”.
