The world’s biggest live music show has made its way to Australia.

Eurovision is touring a three-hour live event around the nation, marking 68 years of the notoriously eccentric song contest.

Eighteen fan favourites will be performing including Australia’s most successful entrant, 2016 runner-up Dami Im.

“I did get flashbacks of 2016 where I just had, you know, the fans screaming, and they’re just loving the music,” Im told AAP.

The Sound of Silence singer said she’s “stoked” to be kicking off the Aussie leg of Eurovision’s first world tour which has already taken in London, Paris and Madrid.

“I’m super excited to bring what we had in Europe back to my home town in Brisbane at my own Tivoli, which is my local venue.”

Despite Australia becoming a controversial inclusion in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2015, there will be more stops down under than in any other country with shows in Sydney and Melbourne next.

“I know there’s a lot of Aussie fans, so I’m really happy that we get to do this,” said Australian-born Silia Kapsis who represented Cyprus in 2024.

At 17 she was the youngest performer at the 2024 contest, something she admits was daunting.

“But you know once you get there and meet everyone and you step foot on that stage, it all comes together, she said.

“And you’re like, this is what I’ve worked so hard for. It doesn’t matter what age I am.”

Three-time Eurovision contestant Senhit is the tour’s co-host and will be performing her Flo-Rida hit Adrenalina along with some new tunes.

“There will be some surprises, some duets, some three artists together that sing a very legendary song,” the San Marino singer told AAP.

Audiences can expect a powerful show, with “no limits, no borders”, she said.

“I believe it’s a nice message to everybody, for us as an artist, to be on stage and to do whatever we want and to try to give a positive message to everybody.”

The inaugural tour’s Australian leg will take in Brisbane’s The Tivoli on Wednesday night, Melbourne’s Palais Theatre on Friday night and conclude at Sydney’s Enmore Theatre on Sunday night.
