British rock band Oasis frontman Noel Gallagher, who’s likeness to profanity comes as no surprise to his fans worldwide, was allowed to slip the ‘f-bomb’ on national television.

Network Ten’s hit current affairs program ‘The Project‘ seemingly forgot to bleep one of Gallagher’s swear words during a prerecorded interview, airing on Tuesday night.

Asking the colourful musician his opinion on not releasing music on a major label, he gave an expectedly saucy response.

“I enjoy the lack of money that I make,” he said via video link from Byron Bay, NSW.

“I enjoy the lack of record sales, I also enjoy the lack of recognition and the lack of awards that I receive.

“Quite frankly, my mantelpiece was chock-a-block with the f****** things. It is nice to take a back seat. I enjoy not working with people in record labels who are, in fact, as we all know f*****. It is nice to get away from that mob.”

The amused Project panel anxiously laughed off the interview as it played out but were apologetic following the incident.

“We may have missed bleeping one of the words,” host Carrie Bickmore said.

Gallagher’s not new to bleep-able bust-ups, with his most notable episode coming in 2009.

After years of expletive squabbles, Liam Gallagher, Noel’s brother, reputedly smashed the lead man’s guitar following a backstage argument marking the end of Oasis.

Gallagher is in the country touring with his new band High Flying Birds.
