He’s known for being something of a ladies man and it appears Shane Warne’s flirting skills haven’t been hindered by his stint in the South African jungle.

The cricketer, who is competing on Channel Ten reality show I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here!, is pursuing American actress and former Baywatch star Carmen Electra from more than 16,000km away.

The flirtation between the pair began when Warne revealed he had a huge crush on Electra to fellow I’m a Celebrity contestant Havana Brown, who counts Electra as a friend.

“I follow her on Insta and every day I go, ‘Oh God, that’s it, she’s the one’,” Warne told Brown.

“She might be a fruitcake but I don’t know, she might be good fun too.”

“She’s a good one,” Brown responded. “Actually you two would look good together.”

It appears Electra isn’t totally opposed to the idea either, exchanging text messages with Warnie during an appearance on the Kylie and Jackie O show on Friday morning.

“I didn’t know he dated Liz Hurley but I know he’s an extremely attractive athlete, very famous in Australia,” the 43-year-old former Playboy model told the radio hosts of her potential love interest.

Kyle and Jackie O then text messaged Warnie on behalf of Electra in an effort to organise a post-jungle rendezvous.

Warnie: Well hello there, lovely to meet you over the phone! Look forward to catching up xxx.

Warnie: P.s. I’m lost in the jungle with the delightful Havana Brown, she says hi and let’s do a dinner for four when we escape? X.

K & JO: I’ve heard a lot about you and I’m very flattered about the things you said about me. I love Havana Brown and would love to have a get together with you and Havana — sounds like fun.

Warnie: Ok cool, sounds good! Let’s make a plan, look forward to it x.

K & JO: P.s. I just spoke to your daughter and she is lovely Xx.

Warnie: Gulp!!! Thank you for being sweet, she’s adorable x.

Warnie: P.s. What did you guys chat about? How awesome dad is? X (smiley face emoji).

Warnie appeared ecstatic after the exchange, declaring it “a special day”.

“Boy’s dreams are coming true!” Brown added.
