Before she was a UFC fighter on the world stage, Ronda Rousey lived in a filthy rundown share house in Venice Beach.

In 2011, the Mixed Martial Arts fighter allowed cameras to peek inside the ramshackle home for a soon-to-be-released documentary about her life titled In Her Father’s Eyes.

In a clip from the documentary, the 29-year-old guides cameras through her dilapidated living room to her dirty kitchen, which is covered in empty bottles and chip packets.

“People eat here apparently,” she says, “I don’t know how we haven’t come up with a new strain of cholera.”

“I wrote a note to describe the personality of our kitchen: ‘I don’t know what our garbage disposal must think of us.'”

In the clip, Rousey explains that her disregard for cleanliness is due to the fact the house is scheduled to be torn down soon.

“They’re tearing this house down right after we move out,” Rousey says.

“As soon as we found out, we were just like, ‘Well, who gives a s**t?’ They’re tearing down the house, so we kind of just want it all to go to hell.

“But it was already kind of hellish when I moved in, I didn’t make it like this.”

A 2012 Showtime series also showed snippets from inside the house, where Rousey lived with her close friends, a pitbull and a pet newt until she could afford to move to her own place.

“This is a cool house because you can do whatever you want and break whatever you want and it doesn’t matter,” tells Showtime.

“I always hated being in those houses where you had to be perfect and the carpet had to be perfect and if you stained anything it was the end of the world.

“I don’t feel like my carpet being all one colour without interruption really has anything to do with my happiness.”

However, a 2015 documentary proved Rousey has much higher standards for her new home, revealing a spotless kitchen and a neat exterior.

During Larson’s impressive awards season run for her role in captivity drama Room, Greenwald rarely left her side.

But Greenwald isn’t just the loyal boyfriend to Larson’s rising star – he’s a star in his own right. Well, sort of.

The musician and actor’s face may seem familiar to a few keen-eyed readers out there, particularly if you’re a connoisseur of early noughties culture.

Greenwald is the lead singer of the band Phantom Planet, best known for their song ‘California’, the instantly recognisable theme track for hit series The OC.

If you think you don’t know it, trust us, you do. Even if you weren’t a fan on the show.

Another notable member of Phantom Planet is Jason Schwartzman, whose unique face you probably remember from films like The Grand Budapest Hotel, The Darjeeling Limited, Moonrise Kingdom and Marie Antoinette.

Sadly, the band split in 2008 but have since reunited for the occasional show.

Greenwald, however, might experience a resurgence in his star factor if he sticks by Larson’s side.

Affleck’s ink panned by exes

When Ben Affleck first revealed his … interesting back tattoo in December last year, many were confused.

Was it meant to be a phoenix rising from the ashes? Is he the phoenix? Why so many colours? Why so large? Why?

If you felt confused/scared/overwhelmed by this perplexing back ink, you weren’t the only one. Turns out two of Affleck’s exes felt the same way.

Asked about her ex-husband’s tattoo in an interview with Vanity Fair magazine this month, Jennifer Garner had a diplomatic, but critical, response.

“You know what we would say in my hometown about that? ‘Bless his heart’,” Garner said.

“A phoenix rising from the ashes. Am I the ashes in this scenario?

“I take umbrage. I refuse to be the ashes.”

Garner’s former girlfriend Jennifer Lopez was a little less measured in her appraisal.

“It’s awful!” Lopez told talk show host Andy Cohen.

“But I would tell him that like, ‘What are you doing?’.

“It has too many colours, his tattoos always have too many colours. They shouldn’t be so colourful. They should be cooler.”

The jury has spoken, Ben. Cover that nonsense up.
