McCartney barred from Grammys party

He might be one of the greatest songwriters of all time, but even Paul McCartney isnât cool enough to get into a music industry after-party.
Footage has emerged of the Beatles legend being turned away from a Grammys after-party on Tuesday, along with last yearâs Album of the Year winner, Beck, and Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins.

The kicker?
The party, held at Los Angeles nightclub The Argyle, was hosted by little-known rapper Tyga, best known for dating Kardashian offspring Kylie Jenner.
After attempting to enter through the back door of the venue before being knocked back by a bouncer, McCartney remained in high spirits.
âHow VIPÂ do we gotta get?â he joked, before turning to Beck and Hawkins and saying: âWe need another hit, guys! Work harder.â
The trio tried once more to enter the party but were rejected again, forcing them to return to a waiting car.
Later, TMZ, the website that obtained the footage, asked rapper Bow Wow (one of the people who made the cut) what he thought about McCartney being denied entry.
âNo way!â he responded incredulously.
âMaybe itâs the fact that weâre younger than Paul ⌠and we really club and we really go out.
âThatâs crazy though.â
Tyga explains
After waking up to a âseries of textsâ, the rapper denied he was to blame, pointing the finger at venue staff.
âI had no knowledge, I was inside performing. I wish I had of [sic] known he was out there I would have brought him in,â Tyga told Jimmy Kimmel Live.
He said the fire marshall on the door was to blame for the incident: âYeh tweet the fire marshall donât tweet me.â
Tyga said he had no say on the list for the party, and that he was simply paid to show up and perform.
The rapper then invited McCartney to come to his next show in California.
