Sephora already has one Australian store in Sydneyâs Pitt Street Mall, with plans to open another Sydney store in the Macquarie Centre in September.
The makeup giant was founded in Paris in 1970 and now has 2000 stores worldwide.
It is owned by luxury brands conglomerate Louis Vuitton and Moet Hennessy (LVMH).
After the Sydney storeâs December 2014 opening, many criticised the company for failing to live up to its promise to end price gouging in Australia.
In an attempt to ânot undercut local retailersâ, the storeâs prices were more or less in line with those offered in the United States.
Price comparisons conducted by Fairfax media at the time revealed some products were even being marked up, on top of the added cost of currency conversion.
